Melchior Rasch is enrolled in BA fashion design course at the Berlin University of the Arts since 2021 and member of the student council design.

From 2016 to 2020, Melchior Rasch did a craft apprenticeship as a bespoke tailor in Cologne and Düsseldorf. Then he worked for the Cologne based menswear label “joah kraus”, where he was involved in the product and model development of two collections. In 2021, he successfully completed his apprenticeship as a garment cutting technician at the “M. Müller & Sohn” technical school in Düsseldorf.

In addition to his jobs and trainings, he pursued various social and political voluntary activities, such as accompanying and supporting LGBTIAQ+ refugees at the “Rainbow Refugees Cologne Support Group e.V.”, or organising events, screenings and trainings in the political alliance "Aktionsbündnis 8. Mai Demmin" to raise awareness about the origins, enemy images and consequences of local neo-Nazi structures in northern Germany.

His interests and his artistic development is driven by connecting fashion/design with social justice, social innovation and politics.
